Lanes for every event you coach.

An academy range is mostly a planning problem: enough dependable lanes for the events on your timetable, scored the same way on every lane, without a maintenance load your staff cannot carry. That is the problem Tachus systems are built around.

Why electronic

What changes when the lanes score themselves

Walk a paper range during a session and count what the coach is doing: pulling cards, scoring by eye, resetting for the next shooter. On electronic lanes that work disappears, and the coach coaches. Shooters stay on the line instead of walking downrange between series.

The catch, historically, was cost and upkeep. The Tachus family exists because Indian academies needed electronic scoring they could afford to buy and run.

01

Lanes turn over faster

No card changes and no walking downrange. A shooter finishes, the next starts, and scoring is already running.

02

One software family across the range

Every model includes the Windows scoring software and the Android application at no additional software cost. Staff who learn one lane have mostly learned them all.

03

The lane mix follows your timetable

Tachus 10 for the 10 m air events, Tachus 25 for sports and standard pistol, Tachus 50 for 50 m rifle and free pistol. Buy for the events you actually run.

04

One lane can serve two distances

The 50/10 Hybrid converts between 50 m and 10 m in about ten minutes by swapping the front door. For a range with limited space, that is one lane doing the work of two.

05

Upkeep your staff can run

Consumables, mostly. Paper rolls on 10 m and hybrid lanes, rubber impact media at 25 m and 50 m, pellet traps that lift out. Routine maintenance is designed for range staff.

Planning

Planning a range with multiple lanes

Four decisions do most of the work. We go through all of them with you before anything is ordered, and quotations come back within one working day.

01

The lane mix

Start from the timetable: which events, how many shooters a session, where the queues form. That tells you how many lanes of each distance you need, and whether a convertible hybrid lane earns its place.

02

Cables and computers

Every target connects by cable to a Windows laptop or PC at its firing point. Decide cable routes and computer positions before any civil work, not after.

03

Range control at 25 m

Tachus 25 lanes include red and green traffic lights run from the scoring software, with illumination timings set in the practice software.

04

Who installs what

Tachus 25, 50 and 50/10 come with a mounting stand and installation and service at the range. For 10 m lanes we plan target positions, mounting and cable routes with you.

Running it

Built to be run by the range.

Routine maintenance uses replaceable consumables and is designed for range staff: paper rolls, rubber bands and pellet traps. Ranges that relocated have installed Tachus systems again at new premises with our support, which says something about how the systems are put together.

Every model carries a warranty for two years, extendable up to eight years, with phone and WhatsApp support from the Bengaluru team. Academies tend to test support harder than anyone; the reviews here are what that looks like from their side.

“We are using Tachus 10 Electronic Target System from December 2018. We also saw and used initial prototypes. System has been really good. Support is excellent. We get immediate response for any assistance. In 2020, we shifted range and installing the system again at the new location was very easy. We recommend this system to every range. It's affordable and easy to use.”

“We are using Tachus 10 Electronic Target System since October 2021. They are providing good service to us. They are very cooperative. As my student also knew that at the time of national practice in range the machine was used from morning 6 am to 8.30 pm / 9 pm. We ran the machine continuously. Connecting system to laptop is so easy and we like that. Overall, our experience is good with machine and Tachus and we are happy for that.”

Common questions

Can one range mix 10 m, 25 m and 50 m lanes?

Yes. Each distance uses its own Tachus system, and every lane scores through the same Windows software and Android application. Tell us the events you run and we will propose the mix.

What does each lane need at the firing point?

A Windows laptop or PC, connected to the target by cable. Every system also includes the Tachus Android application, optimized for tablets in portrait orientation. Contact our team to confirm current device and connection requirements.

Do you install the systems?

Tachus supplies a mounting stand and provides installation and service at the range for Tachus 25, Tachus 50 and Tachus 50/10. For Tachus 10 lanes we plan the target position, cable route and computer location with you.

What maintenance will our staff handle?

Consumables: paper rolls on 10 m and hybrid lanes, rubber impact media on 25 m and 50 m lanes, and pellet traps. Routine maintenance is designed for range staff, and support is a phone call or WhatsApp message away.

Can the lanes host club competitions?

Tachus 10 is used for club competitions, and for 10 m events with multiple lanes Tachus Display Manager adds an operator interface, lane displays and a TV view.

What warranty do the systems carry?

Two years on every model, extendable up to eight years.
